Maureen joined the SparkShoppe team in May of 2022, and brings with her more than 30 years of experience in the food retail industry with a focus on omni-channel food-centric content and program development/execution as well as building collaborative partnerships with trade partners. In 2016, the Food Marketing Industry awarded Maureen the Esther Peterson Consumer Service Award in recognition of her dedicated commitment to the consumer, and for promoting the highest standards of food safety, nutrition and availability of consumer information. That commitment and passion carries over to the food blogs she writes for Grain and Vine.

Maureen holds a B.S. in Food and Nutrition from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh.

What is your favorite app/social media platform?

FoodKeeper (This app is awesome since it provides specific storage timelines for the refrigerator, freezer and pantry for more than 650 foods as well as guidance on safe handling and preparation.)

Tell us a fun fact about yourself!

I am not a runner. I can honestly say I hate it, but decided for a milestone birthday I would train and do a 5K. I am proud that I accomplished it, but I'm one and done! Still not a fan of running! 😊
