Don't blink- Facebook technology moves fast!

Social marketing can be a double-edged sword: new and exciting technology is constantly emerging but staying atop of the changes can sometimes be a challenge.


Facebook for business is a great way to stay up to date and learn from best-in-class retailers and brands.  Most recently, the platform has made a lot of changes with their dynamic and slideshow ad formats.

A year ago, many would be shocked to see the sneakers they were just looking at on Footlocker.com popping up on their Facebook news feed.  Today, this dynamic targeting is commonplace.  It is a marketers dream come true and over 2.5 billion unique products have been uploaded to Facebook to be a part of this ad format.  At SparkShoppe we are excited to use this tool, as delivering relevant ads to customers is so important in today's digital world.

Video is obviously a growing trend on social platforms, however, the other unique format that is gaining popularity on Facebook is slideshow ads.  These are particularly interesting as they look like video ads, but the creative is just static images.  Another added bonus is that it doesn’t require as much data to view this format.  Coca-Cola recently had huge success with these ads in Africa because they were able to reach the population without data limitations.


As Ferris Bueller says, "Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."  We certainly share his sentiment when it comes to digital marketing platforms and the technology they use!
